Each month, we'll be focusing on a different character trait to help our students grow not only as learners, but as kind, confident, and responsible members of our school community!
Our first Trait of the Month is RESPONSIBILITY! Please look at the resource for some suggestions on how your family can promote responsibility at home!

Meet the Teacher Night was a great success! We had a very special visitor, Onyx our Therapy Dog! Also, a big thank you to our PTO for organizing ice cream for every student and teacher from Sundae Funday! Who do you think was more excited about the ice cream? We can't wait to see our students back in classrooms tomorrow!

Congratulations to our March Leaders of the Month!
These outstanding students were honored for living out Habit #7- Sharpen the Saw! They understood that taking care of themselves— mentally, physically, and emotionally— makes them better learners, better friends, and better leaders.
Congratulations! We are proud of you!

We were incredibly honored to host State Representative Brad Fritts today, who presented an official Illinois House Resolution to our very own Bentlee Lawrenz.
Winning a State Cross Country Championship is a testament to Bentlee's relentless work ethic and character. Having that dedication recognized at the state level is a moment our entire school community will cherish. Congratulations, Bentlee—you’ve set the pace for us all!

Congratulations to our February Leaders of the Month!
These amazing students were recognized for exemplifying Habit #6- Synergize! They showed us what it truly means to value different perspectives, work together as a team, and create something greater than any one person could do alone.
Keep up the great work Mounties!

A huge thank you to Mr. Paul Klimson — music producer, sound engineer, and owner of The Roadie Clinic — for visiting our Middle School Band yesterday! 🎶
Mr. Klimson has worked with countless artists, from Reba to Justin Timberlake, and shared an inspiring story about his journey from playing in the school band in Morrison to building a career in Nashville and beyond. We all loved hearing about the many paths music can take you on, both on and off the stage, and are so grateful he took the time to encourage and inspire the next generation of musicians!
