Everyday in Mrs. Hammer's classroom, students take a timed test for their math facts. When a 3rd grade student asked why it was so important to know multiplication facts and be able to solve them quickly, Everleigh, a student in Mrs. McFadden's 4th grade class, quickly jumped in to explain the importance of fact fluency. She said, "Knowing your facts makes math easier!" Next, Everleigh grabbed an expo marker to show off some her amazing 4th grade math skills using area model to multiply multi-digit numbers!
We love watching our students be leaders in the classroom. Great job, Everleigh!
